Types of Grease:

Greases are among the most commonly used lubricants in various industries, produced by combining base oil, thickening agents, and various additives. Among the different types of greases, lithium and calcium greases are particularly popular due to their unique properties.

Lithium Grease

This type of grease is made using lithium soap as a thickener and is widely used due to the following features:

High Thermal Resistance: Lithium grease is capable of performing optimally over a wide temperature range, typically up to 120-130°C, and in some cases even higher. This makes it suitable for high-temperature environments where other greases might fail.

Mechanical Stability: This grease does not experience a decrease in quality under pressure and mechanical impacts, maintaining its structure and performance.

Water Resistance: Although lithium grease is not fully waterproof, it performs adequately in moist conditions and environments with high relative humidity.

Applications: This grease, due to its versatility, is widely used in automobiles (such as bearings, joints, and wheels), heavy industrial equipment, and agricultural machinery.

Calcium Grease

Calcium grease is produced using calcium soap as the thickener, and its unique properties have made it particularly suitable for specific applications:

Excellent Water Resistance: This grease is an ideal choice for humid environments, such as marine industries, irrigation equipment, and devices that are in direct contact with water.

Moderate Thermal Resistance: Unlike lithium greases, this grease has limited performance at high temperatures, typically up to 60-70°C.

Rust Protection: This feature prevents metal parts from corroding in humid environments.

Applications: This grease is primarily used in agricultural, marine industries, and light equipment.
